All General McLane teachers may download Notebook 10 on their district-issued laptops.
Here's the procedure to follow:
Email Pam and ask for a product key for SMART Notebook 10.
Go to SMART Downloads
Scroll down to Get Downloads--choose the first download option.
Once you have downloaded it to your desktop, you'll need to install it.
Double click on the download icon; then, double click on the open "box" to begin the installation.
You will be asked for a product key (Pam sent to you in an email).
Once it is installed, go to Applications.
Drag the icon for Notebook Software onto your dock.
You're ready to use the new version!
Below are some new features you will find on Notebook 10:
Table--Click on the Table button to insert; select number of rows and columns needed
Inserts onto slide; select, grab the gray square at top left to move
Add a table shade from options in the drop-down menu
click on each cell to remove shade
Magic Pen--Click on the Magic Pen icon and draw:
Circle--create a spotlight
Square--magnify objects inside square drawn
Write a comment--will fade away after a few seconds
Shape Pen--Click on the Shape Pen icon
draw a shape, Notebook will "perfect" the shape for you
